The BGC and its members have re-affirmed their support for a 10-point Covid action plan to protect customers and staff following the latest lockdown in England.

In March, just days after the UK-wide lockdown was announced, the industry moved quickly to introduce the pledges action amid concerns it could lead to a rise in problem gambling online.

Measures included an increase in safer gambling messages, the promotion of deposit limits and welfare checks for staff.

In the wake of the second lockdown in November, BGC members again signed up to the standards expected of them while the restrictions are in place.

Nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of our staff and customers, and these pledges make very clear the standards expected of our members.
