With Britain facing its gravest challenge in living memory, BGC members rallied to support the national effort against Covid-19. Venues across the country stepped up to support frontline services, vulnerable individuals and communities.

Victoria Gate Casino in Leeds and Mayfair Casino in London donated food to homeless shelters, while Ascot offered support to Slough Foodbank and Star Sports provided food parcels to Royal Sussex Country Hospital. GVC made greyhound tracks available for NHS Covid-19 testing, as did the Bet365 stadium in Stoke.

Meanwhile, Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos teamed up with Blue Light Card to offer free meals to key workers across the UK, and Flutter introduced paid leave for employees with medical training to return to the NHS.

The NHS also received a massive cash boost from the Denise Coates Foundation, created by the Bet365 founder, which donated £10 million to University Hospitals of North Midlands.
