International Committee

The International Committee is dedicated to supporting the development of well-regulated, sustainable online betting and gaming markets that offer operators a fair and level playing field. Its purpose is to help establish regulatory frameworks that deliver strong consumer protections, effective harm-prevention measures and credible alternatives to illegal gambling sites, ensuring that players have access to safe, trusted and fully regulated options.

The International Committee provides guidance to governments and regulators around the world as they shape emerging online gambling markets. This work has included jurisdictions such as Brazil, Greece and Portugal. The Committee also contributes to second and third generation regulatory reforms to ensure existing systems continue to evolve and remain robust, competitive and focused on consumer protection.

The Committee's objectives:

  • Create High Channelisation of the regulated market
  • Create Standards for Consumer Protection
  • Offer broad consumer choice
  • Keep crime out of gambling
  • Raise tax revenue
